SUSAN FRANCIS

Metamorphosis is inspired by Kafka's novella of the same name. The cutlery cabinet contains two films, both of which depict myself transformed into an insect and crawling through various domestic settings, including family photos from my own past. In the same way that Gregor's family ultimately detach themselves from his predicament, the family members and friends in my own photos seem oblivious to my minuscule presence.
